The principal factor associated with choosing the right course and university/college is the tuition fees. International students are charged approximately AUD 20,000 to 40,000 for undergraduate and AUD 22,000 to 50,000 for postgraduate degrees on average. Fees for doctoral degrees may cost anywhere between AUD 18,000 to 40,000.

Degrees in medicine, dentistry, veterinary sciences and aviation cost higher than the average fees exceeding AUD 50,000 annually.

OSHC (Overseas Student Health Cover)

OSHC is mandatory health insurance for international students and their dependents for the entire duration of their studies. This policy helps insured individuals to get urgent medical and hospital care during their formal education. There are 6 Australian government approved OSHC providers. You can choose which policy works best for you in OSHC Australia official site. Popular policies amongst Nepalese students include: Allianz Care, Bupa,.. etc. with average cost of AUD 590-700 annually.

Other additional costs include academic supplies, clothing and personal expenses. These can vary depending on a student’s personal requirements.

School Costs

Only applicable to children traveling with the primary applicant; a minimum of AUD 13,502 annually must be included per child. However, the costs are subject to rise depending on the location of the schooling in Australia.

Despite the above requirement, if you have enrolled your child in an Australian Government School on fees waiver you do not need to provide the schooling cost evidence. Provided that, you have to be one of the following:

●  a PHD student or

●  You have received the Australian Commonwealth Govt. Scholarship including Foreign Affairs and Defence Support Students

With this criteria met, attach along with your visa application the evidence of your child enrollment as well.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we need to pay full tuition fees before traveling to Australia?

It is entirely dependent on the policies of specific providers. In order to grant a COE, certain schools and universities accept minimum fee deposits. Some, meanwhile, request payment of the entire first year’s fees. We advise looking into their websites to find out about how they handle tuition payments.
